Technology Improves Disneys FASTPASS Wait Loss System LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. Disneys award-winning wait loss system has gotten better with enhancements to Disneys FASTPASS. In response to guest feedback, the patented system which permits theme park guests to avoid waiting in lines at popular Walt Disney World attractions now produces tickets imprinted with simple-to-read information about when the guest can obtain another FASTPASS. And it gets even better: This new printed messaging information is based on improved technology that frequently allows guests to obtain an additional FASTPASS much sooner than before. Previously, a guest had to use their current FASTPASS ticket or wait two hours before getting another FASTPASS ticket. Now an additional FASTPASS ticket might be available in as little as 45 minutes depending on guest demand. There is no exact answer as to how soon a guest might be able to obtain an additional FASTPASS ticket, explained Dale Stafford, vice president of Global FASTPASS. But because of improved technology, the computer now can make an accurate determination of guest demand and produce a FASTPASS ticket with simple-to-understand information. And this messaging technology change will allow for additional improvements in the future. Disneys FASTPASS currently is offered at 24 of the most popular Walt Disney World attractions several in each of the four theme parks. FASTPASS tickets are issued at no additional charge to any ticketed guest and provide the guest with a one-hour window of time when they may return to the attraction and skip the regular line. ******** SHOCKWAVE
