Flying
carpets, magic lamps, wise-cracking genies, princesses, and evil wizards
- they're all a part of this amazing musical production. Disney's Aladdin - A Musical Spectacular lives up to its name - it is truly a spectacular Broadway-quality show. Many of the classic scenes and songs from the movie are re-created on stage and some of the action even spills out into the aisles, like Prince Ali's jubilant arrival in Agrabah on elephant back. This 40
minute production takes place in the 2,000 seat Hyperion Theater,
located at the end of Hollywood Blvd. The theater itself is beautiful
inside and out, with design features reminiscent of many classic theaters. Seating is first come, first served.
The theater is divided into three sections: the Orchestra
section on the ground floor, the Mezzanine, and the Balcony.
You choose which section you want to sit in when you get in line. Sitting
in the Mezzanine or Balcony will require climbing up several flights of
steps, though there are elevators to the upper levels for those
who really need them. And inside the theater, access to any seats in the
Mezzanine or Balcony other than those in the back rows requires climbing
down some rather steep steps. Once inside the theater it's not easy to switch to a different level - you'll need to see a Cast Member for assistance. No food or drink is allowed inside the theater. There are NO RESTROOMS in the theater - make sure to stop before you get in line. The closest restrooms are to the left of the theater as you approach it from Hollywood Blvd. Special seating areas are available for guests in wheelchairs/ECVs and their parties. Assistive
listening is provided - receivers are available at Guest Relations. Kids of all ages enjoy this show.
Award Wieners offers a selection of hot dogs and sausages, snacks are available at Schmoozies and Fairfax Market. Restaurants
At A Glance Gone Hollywood features Princess Jasmine apparel as well as other Disney Princess costumes and accessories. Off the Page - Disney animation cels, books, posters, collectible figures, and artwork from Aladdin and other movies. Alan Mencken composed a new song for Jasmine for this production, called "To Be Free". When California
Adventure opened, an original Disney musical called "Disney's Steps
in Time" was on stage at the Hyperion. A scaled-down version of the
musical "Blast" followed. If you have comments or tips to share with others about touring Disney's California Adventure, please email us. Thank you.
