Grand Avenue Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Grand Avenue is a reimagined area of Disney's Hollywood Studios made up of part of the former Streets of America and the Muppets Courtyard.
GRAND AVENUE: Inspired by the revitalization and the vibrant culture of present-day downtown Los Angeles, Grand Avenue has vintage office buildings and warehouses that have been converted to exciting new uses. Guests see facades for "merchants" in this area, a music shop, loft apartments, a tailor and more, with each window on the street featuring displays.
A highlight of Grand Avenue is BaseLine Tap House, which takes over the former location of The Writer's Stop. This new corner pub features California beers and wines along with a selection of small bites.
The former Muppets Courtyard is now known as Grand Park, an urban square off Grand Avenue surrounded by shops and restaurants like PizzeRizzo and Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano. The Muppets theater has been renamed "Grand Arts Theatre" and boasts a brand-new marquee. The Muppet*Vision 3D show continues its run there.
Check your daily Times Guide for times and locations.
You can grab a drink and light snacks at the BaseLine Tap House. Commissary Lane is nearby and features both the ABC Commissary counter service spot, and the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant.
The Stage 1 Company Store, the shop that MuppetVision exits into, features great Muppets items, along with other Disney merchandise.
Part of this area was formerly known as New York Street, for its depiction of that cosmopolitan city. It was renamed to Streets of America in 2004, with the addition of San Francisco street scenes.
The reimagined Grand Avenue area officially opened in Fall 2017. Here are a few photos from just prior to its opening.
