Hoop Dee Doo Review
By Alex
I recently went to the Hoop Dee Doo Revue for the second time, and wanted to tell you all how much I love it!
The
atmosphere is very rustic and casual - you don't have to get dressed
up to go here. It's very pioneer-y, just how it's meant to be. It's
a great show, with lots of corny jokes and funny characters. I think
it's a show that even
adults would enjoy.
I thought the food was delicious. You get tasty ribs, juicy fried chicken and spicy corn, but if you don't like any of that stuff (I don't like ribs), they'll bring you something else, like creamy macaroni and cheese (which is what I had). The dessert is heavenly, too - the whipped creamy, strawberry-loaded shortcake is exquisite!
The
actors are very friendly - they will come out to greet you and will
even serve you. Some may come to your table and joke with you. When
I was there, I was eating macaroni and cheese and the character called
Six Bits Slocum came to my table and said, "That's the strangest
looking chicken I've
ever seen! In fact, it almost looks like
macaroni!" He
really made me laugh.
At the end of the show, they give you washboards to play on. I didn't know what they were at first, but I had a great time running my spoon along the metal and making a big noise!
With lots of songs that everyone knows and lots of really bad jokes, I think the Hoop Dee Doo Revue is a great show for everyone! I hope you get to go!
