RADP V Scrapbook

Magic
Kingdom RADP day began early with 2 breakfast meets…one at Trails End
in Ft. Wilderness and one at All Star Movies food court.

"I
was up bright and early Sunday morning so that I could make my way over
to Ft Wilderness for Randy's breakfast meet at Trail's End. Sure enough
a pack of three wayward RADPers shortly arrived (Randy, Paragon, Ronnie).
It was just the six of us until Mike and Jan stopped by for coffee a little
later. The buffet was good and I will definitely go back. Randy was infamous
amongst the CMs here. "

The
first attraction meet, hosted by Jan, was at Splash Mountain! Fortunately,
the weather was a toasty 75 degrees so none of us minded getting wet.

"Afterwards
we walked down to the dock to catch the boat to the MK for the Splash
Meet. We had 40 people for the meet and this is where my trip took a turn
for the worse (no pun intended). As I was standing on a bench outside
of the entrance trying to count the number of people getting into line,
I stepped off the bench wrong and twisted my ankle. I pretty much knew
it was toast but thought maybe I could walk it off. Amanda asked if I
needed help and I said no. Splash was great. Amanda and I were in the
front of one log and she was determined to keep her arms up on the big
drop which was something she had never done. I was more than happy to
be her partner in crime. We got pretty wet being in the front but it was
a lot of fun. Jenn

"After
breakfast, we headed off to the MK for the Splash Mt. meet. There was
about 38 people there for this. We filled several boats. That is all of
us except those who chickened out and watched. It was a walk-on so there
was no caroling in line, even though Bianca brought us some song sheets
just in case- thanks Bianca. Next we all ran over to Big Thunder Mt.-
also a walk on and rode it. What a blast. It's so much fun to ride this
stuff with a big crowd of people you like! After BTM we made our way over
to Buzz and got fast passes for the meet time. "Mickeymom

"Don
rode down Splash for the first time not holding on. He and I both had
our arms straight up. It was a blast and I bought the picture. Mac & Jack
looked like they were having fun too." Laurie

Deb and Laura take a few minutes to rest after riding Big Thunder Mountain!

"Sunday
morning we rode Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. We ended up with a group
of about 11 or 12, and whooped and hollered over the "wildest ride in
the wilderness". Or I guess it *would* have been the wildest ride, except
that towards the end we stopped, and then started again, then stopped,
then started again…itwas
strange, and I don't know what was going on." Laura Gilbreath

Soon it
was time for the Magic Kingdom Pin Trading meet back on Main Street so
several of us gathered our belongings and headed over there.

"Between
the MK pin trading meet and the Buzz Lightyear meet, Deb K, Rachel, Paragon,
Ronnie and I went on a quest for Dole Whips. We sat at a table at the
Adventureland Verandah and talked for a while (we were the only ones there!),
and Pamela and Sean came and joined us a little later with their Dole
