Treehouse Villa Interior Tour Part 3

We’ve explored the Living Room and Kitchen.

We’ve toured the Master Bedroom and Bathroom.

Here are the remaining rooms in the Treehouse Villa.

Standing back at the entrance, we are going to take a right. There is a hallway: on the left is the Washer and Dryer, straight ahead is the 2nd bathroom and to the right the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms.

Of the 2 remaining bedrooms, one is a double bed and one has bunk beds. All of the Treehouse Villa 3rd bedrooms are bunkbeds.

Here is the 2nd bedroom:

Next is the bunkbed room. This is a small room and definitely for 2 little ones. One nice addition to the room is a closet! We had a small adult sleep in here and they felt a bit claustrophobic in both the top and bottom bunk. There is a ladder to get to the top bunk. There is also a long list of cautions, dos, and don’ts about the bunk bed right next to the ladder.

  1. Just returned from a wonderful stay at the Treehouse Villas with friends who are DVC members. I’d like to address a few questions people had. The beds in both the master and 2nd bedroom are queens, not doubles.

The bunk beds in the 3rd bedroom are regular sized, not child sized as someone previously said. Also, there was ample room on the floor next to the bunk beds for a twin inflatable mattress to sleep an additional child. Each bedroom had wonderful blackout curtains that kept the light out in the morning.

You do need to use the pull out queen and twin sleeper sofas in the family room to sleep 9 in total. But, both sleepers were memory foam mattresses – not your usual uncomfortable ‘metal bar under your back’ sleepers. We had 2 teenage boys sleep on them and both remarked about how comfortable the pullouts were.

Two strange things to note. First, all the lighting in the villa is very dim. One day we couldn’t find an item and had to turn on all the lights trying to locate it. Second, there are no locks on the bathroom doors. If you are a party of 9 sharing two bathrooms, you have to be careful about privacy.

It was a wonderful, relaxing place to stay. Our unit was right on the river so we could watch boats passing by. The treehouse pool is close and easily walked to. Boat transportation to Downtown Disney was quick. Bus transportation to parks takes longer. You first take a treehouse bus (they come every 10 mins.) to Saratoga Springs, then wait for a park bus there. Commute time to parks is @ 45 minutes.

  2. Hey Deb! Loved all your posts on THV. Didn’t I see on your blog somewhere that you were gonna post info on the distance from THV to the amenities at SSR?

We’re staying there in September and I have problems with my right foot. Just wondering if I’ll be up for the walk to SSR to the pools with slides, food places, etc after walking all day at the parks.

DEB: It’s about a 5-10 minute walk from the SOUTH Bus Stop at the Treehouse Villas (in the back of the resort). You can also take the THV bus over to SS. Given your comment about foot problems and spending a long day in the parks, the busses (or a car) would be better options.

  3. Thanks for the great information. Where can you find rate information for the Treehouse Villas and are they available to non DVC members? Thanks.

  4. Hi, and thanks for all the photos and information. I’m interested in the size of the beds in the Treehouse villas. I can’t tell from the pictures whether or not the beds are standard doubles, or queen size or even king size. Do you happen to recall from your visits? Thanks.

DEB: No King size beds here. The Master and 2nd bedroom are supposed to be Queens, but felt more like doubles to me.

  5. Thanks for the pics Deb! Thinking about staying there next May however we have 2 small kids and was wondering how far a walk do you think it will be to High Rock Spring pool. We will have a car but don’t want to have to drive there every time. Thanks again!

DEB: How long it would take really depends on where in the Treehouse area you are located. Once on the path, it’s about 5-10 minutes to get to the check-in area at Saratoga Springs. There is also a small pool at the Treehouse Villas.

  6. I see parcheesi and ludo boards on the walls of the bunk bed room. Do those come down for playing, or are they fixed to the wall as permanent decorations?

DEB: I didn’t try to removed them, I thought they were part of the decor.
