Winged Encounters Original 2014 Show Animal Kingdom
Winged Encounters – The Kingdom Takes Flight, debuted June 2014 at Animal Kingdom (this video taken during soft opening). It took place in Discovery Island across from the Flame Tree BBQ.
This 3-8 minute show (depends on the birds), focuses on the macaws and conservation. The birds fly in (and out) and an avian expert shares interesting facts. Each show is a bit different and may use different birds. The featured macaws are hyacinth, green-winged, blue and gold, scarlet, military and blue-throated.
It is currently offered at 9:15 and 10:15 am and then a couple shows in the afternoon. Once the show officially opens, there will be specific times.
