#6: The Carolwood Pacific Railroad Room at Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge (June 26, 2014)

Show Host: Deb Wills
Length: 4 minutes, 5 seconds

SYNOPSIS: Adjacent to Disney's Wilderness Lodge, a team of railroad workers discovered a spectacular property -- complete with lakes, trees and majestic mountains rising in the distance (Splash Mountain and Space Mountain, that is!). These intrepid explorers decided that this was the spot -- the perfect spot to set up camp as they built the Transcontinental Railway. They built themselves a new homestead and when it was time to move on, they left it behind to be "re-discovered'' by Disney Vacation Club... so the story goes!

On the main floor of the Villas you will find the Carolwood Pacific Railroad Room, which houses some of train enthusiast Walt Disney's own items -- the perfectly preserved cattle car, gondola and piece of track from his original set, as well as additional train memorabilia. There are photos of Walt as well as a wonderful oil painting. A great treasure for Walt and railroad enthusiasts of all ages.
