OSIRUSOFT.COM

There are all sorts of blacklists out there. All have their good and bad points. Unfortunately, not all are operated in a professional manner. Some block all traffic from parts of the world, some from dial up lines, some for operating unconfirmed subscriber lists (which is why we have converted all of our lists to confirmed sign-ups), and others for a wide variety of reasons.

Of all the major public blacklists, MailerMailer is listed in only one: relays.osirusoft.com.

Despite its name, they have more than just open relay servers in their blacklist. We certainly do not operate any open relays, as that would be a major security and financial risk to us.

The reason Osirusoft provides when you query their list for our entry is this: "SWIPP-ARIN Weekly report". As far as we can tell, this "report" is a list of servers that are in some fashion related to UUNET. UUNET is the ISP for the MailerMailer service.

The operators of the Osirusoft list do not respond to any inquiries of listings in their database, and we have been unable to find the source of the SWIPP-ARIN report, or even a copy of it, to be able to challenge our listing.

Since UUNET is our ISP and that is not going to change any time soon, there doesn't seem to be much possibility of getting removed from this blacklist. All we can do is bring this bizarre listing criteria to the attention of anyone who uses it and hope that they stop using the Osirusoft blacklist as it is much too broad and unreliable to be trusted.
