Hi! I'm Anita!
Got
a question about Walt Disney World? I probably have the answer! Deb's
Unofficial Walt Disney World Information Guide is the most comprehensive
guide to the World on the Web, but if you still can't find the information
you're looking for by using the Site Map,
the Search
Function, or the Anita Answer Archives, drop
me a line and I'll do my best to find the answer for you. Since
there are only 24 hours in a day, I can't answer every email I receive
- however, I do read every one and try to answer as many as possible.
Check back weekly and see if your answer is waiting! Meanwhile, I'm All
Ears!

I just
returned from WDW and was amazed to see how many adults and children
were using Heelys. I thought they were banned from the resort. Can you
find out for sure? Thank you.
Hi
Bill!
"Heelys"-type
footwear (shoes with retractable wheels under the heel) are most definitely
not allowed in the parks or resorts. The only exception for use of wheeled
footwear is on the paths of Fort Wilderness Campground. They're not
allowed anywhere else on Disney property. I don't understand why some
Cast Members aren't enforcing this rule, but be assured, it definitely
is the rule. The rule is in place to ensure guest and Cast safety, and
Cast is taught that safety is the number one "Key" to good
guest service.
Other types
of wheels that should not be used in the parks or resorts (with the
exception of Fort Wilderness Campground) are: bicycles, tricycles, unicycles,
wagons, Razor-type scooters, skateboards, roller skates or inline skates.
Segways are not allowed either, unless in use by Disney Cast Members.
Wheels
that are allowed in the parks: strollers, wheelchairs, motorized wheelchairs
and electric conveyance vehicles (ECVs).
Bottom
line: If it's not on the short list above, please leave the wheels at
home.

Does Disney's
Magical Express only operate from Orlando International Airport? We
regularly visit Orlando from the UK, but land at Sanford Airport. Does
Disney plan to start Magical Express service from this airport in the
future?
Hi Janet!
At this
time, Disney's Magical Express
only operates to and from Orlando International Airport. I have not
heard of any plans to expand the service to Sanford International.
The only
transportation options from Sanford are rental
cars, taxis or car services. AllEarsNet recommends either Quicksilver
Tours or Happy
Limo for transfers from Sanford Airport.

Hi! My
family and I have booked a package for the winter holidays at WDW. This
will be our first time going during the holidays and what makes it more
exciting is that our children have no clue we have planned this trip!
My question
is regarding the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Do the Toy Soldiers
only appear at the MVMCP or do they appear in the other parades at the
Magic Kingdom? When my son saw a Walt Disney World special on the Travel
Channel, his face lit up when he saw the footage of the Toy Soldiers.
Thanks for your time in answering my question.
Hi Joanna!
The only
place I have ever seen the Toy Soldiers is marching in the Christmas
Parade at the Magic Kingdom. The Christmas Parade is performed nightly
during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
This is the only time to see this parade until Christmas Week, when
it becomes the daily afternoon parade at the Magic
Kingdom for a limited time.
This year,
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parties begin on November 12 and run until
December 21, 2007. The Christmas Parade will move to the 3:00 p.m. schedule
on Saturday, December 22 and I would expect it to run there through
December 31, 2007. In past years, the 3:00 parade has come back to replace
the Christmas Parade on January 1, but Disney's calendar does not, as
of this writing, extend beyond December 31, 2007, so I can't say for
sure that this will be the case this year.
Hope you
and your lucky family have a merry time at the World!

I read
your pages for the Wilderness Lodge Villas and I wanted to make sure
that the two-bedroom villas have a washer and dryer. The one-bedrooms
do but I was not sure if the two-bedrooms did. We are coming down this
summer and staying there.
Your website
is awesome! It has been so much help too me! Thanks and I hope to hear
from you soon!
Hi Frank!
All Disney
Vacation Club accommodations larger than a studio have a washer
and dryer in them. This would include the one-bedroom, two-bedroom and
three-bedroom grand villas. (NOTE: The Villas
at the Wilderness Lodge do not have any grand villas, nor do
the Beach Club Villas.) Guests
in studio-type accommodations must use the resort laundry facilities
provided around the different properties. Check your resort map for
the location of laundry rooms.
You will
find a stackable washer/dryer unit in one of the closets near the kitchen
in all but the villas at Old Key West. Old
Key West's villas are the only ones that feature full size,
side-by-side washers and dryers located in their own separate laundry
room.
Have a
great trip to the World!

Thanks
for the constant source of great Disney info!
I have
a few questions for you. First, I heard a second Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
is opening at the Magic Kingdom. I've managed to get reservations for
this fall, but I can't seem to figure out where it will be located!
Any ideas?
Also, we'll
be staying at Saratoga Springs. We are not Disney Vacation Club (DVC)
members. Will we have housekeeping and will our parking passes work
for other WDW hotel lots as well as parks' lots? Thanks!
Hi
Camille!
The new
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique will
be located in Cinderella Castle,
where the King's Gallery Shop was located. This second location is expected
to open in September, and reservations are already being accepted. Call
1-407-WDW-STYLE for information and reservations.
As a cash-paying
guest at Saratoga Springs Resort
(or at any Disney Vacation Club resort,
for that matter,) you will receive daily housekeeping just as you would
at any non-DVC resort. Only guests staying on DVC
points receive limited housekeeping.
Your parking
pass will be exactly like any other Disney resort's parking pass, and
will allow you to park free of charge at the theme parks, as well as
making it a little easier to gain access to the other Disney resorts.
You will still need to show ID at the resorts, even with the parking
pass. For more information about parking at the World, click
here.
Have a
good time horsing around at Saratoga Springs!

We have
recently booked a trip with the free dining Magic Your Way package and
now are a little concerned over the crowds. Will it be more crowded?
Our previous experience was in August of 2006, and with the exception
of the Magic Kingdom, most crowds were tolerable.
Hi
Charles!
I wouldn't
worry much about crowds in the parks, as this is one of the lower-attended
times of the year. Although it's not as quiet as it once was before
they started programs like free dining packages and Pirate
and Princess Parties to fill the hotel rooms, you'll still find
the parks to be only moderately busy. As it gets deeper into September,
the crowds will decrease even more. By the way, the Magic
Kingdom is always the most crowded park, no matter what time
of year it is.
That said,
where you will find crowds is at the table service restaurants. Because
the >Dining Plan is free with
the Magic Your Way package during this time, the restaurants will be
crazy busy during your visit. I would strongly suggest you call Disney
Dining (1-407-WDW-DINE) as soon as possible and make ADRs
(Advance Dining Reservations) for any table service restaurants,
if you haven't done so already. I'm hearing that the remaining ADR's
are going fast.
Have a
magical time at the World!
