New Muppets Live Show Debuts this Fall at Walt Disney World Resort

Beginning in October 2016, the Muppets will star in an all-new live show at Magic Kingdom Park, called "The Muppets Present... Great Moments in American History." Sam Eagle, the fiercely patriotic American eagle who is forever trying to set a high moral standard for the Muppets, will join Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, The Great Gonzo and James Jefferson, town crier of Liberty Square, as they gather outside The Hall of Presidents to present historical tales in hysterical Muppets fashion. From the midnight ride of Paul Revere to the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the Muppets will appear throughout the day to share their own unique take on the founding fathers and the birth of the United States of America. The new show will be presented multiple times daily and will feature an original song and wacky Muppets humor.

"Muppets Most Wanted," the sequel to 2011's acclaimed "The Muppets," opens March 21, 2014. Featuring the well-known Kermit and Miss Piggy, this new film also has a host of celebrity appearances including comedians Tina Fey and Ricky Gervais, and actor Ty Burrell from the ABC-TV sitcom "Modern Family."

Muppets Most Wanted – El Capitan Screening

The El Capitan is Disney's theater in the heart of Hollywood. It hosts many Hollywood premieres including the Muppets Most Wanted as well as Captain America this past week. It is on Hollywood Blvd. across the street from the Hollywood and Highland complex that includes the Dolby Theater (where the academy awards were) and the Chinese Theater. The Muppets will be taking over the theater from March 21 to April 17 for the Muppets Most Wanted. Before every movie there will be a live stage show with Kermit and Miss Piggy. There are props and costumes from the film on display in the lower lounge.
