Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge — Coming Late Fall 2019! Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Today, at the D23 Destination D event, Walt Disney World unveiled a new image from Walt Disney Imagineering that shows how the Star Wars-themed land at Disney's Hollywood Studios will look once the sun goes down. As you can see, the land will take on a whole new dimension after dark and feature adventures and surprises around each corner. If you look close, the image reveals a peek at what you'll discover in this all-new land located in the southwest corner of Disney's Hollywood Studios, including one of the signature attractions that lets you take the controls of the Millennium Falcon. Work is already underway at Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disneyland park in Anaheim, to bring the stories from a galaxy, far, far away to life in the parks.

Some new Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge merchandise is now available at select locations at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. The line currently consists of an assortment of men's and women's T-shirts, hats and more that feature faces and places familiar to Star Wars fans, including the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge logo, the Millennium Falcon, BB-8, DJ Rex and more. Star Wars Half Marathon - The Dark Side Weekend, April 14 - 17. This new race weekend will include kids' races, a 5K and a 10K in addition to the half marathon, plus a variety of Star Wars experiences, medals, events and merchandise inspired by a galaxy far, far away. Among its many features will be a unique 13.1-mile course that sends runners through Epcot, Disney's Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios and finishes at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. There will also be a Star Wars Dark Side Challenge -- running the 10K and the half marathon on consecutive days that offers each finisher a Death Star-themed medal. Jedi and Sith Lords who dare to experience Star Wars races on both coasts will have the chance to take on the Kessel Run Challenge. Kessel Run Challenge runners can earn a commemorative "Coast to Coast'' medal inspired by the Millennium Falcon starship.

Star Tours – The Adventures Continue Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Star Tours - The Adventures Continue (at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World) have added scenes from the upcoming film Star Wars: The Last Jedi, as well as from the new theme park land, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. These new Star Tours adventures take guests to the planet of Crait in the middle of an epic battle and to the new planet Batuu. (The new sequences will debut at Disneyland Paris on Nov. 22, and at Tokyo Disneyland on Dec. 15.)

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Beginning August 1, Disney Early Morning Magic will be offered at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Disney Early Morning Magic launched at Magic Kingdom in April of this year to give guests the opportunity to be among the first to experience theme park attractions and breakfast inside the park. At the Studios, Early Morning Magic begins at 7:45 a.m., when guests can enter the park and experience several attractions and character meet-and-greets: Star Tours - The Adventures Continue, Toy Story Mania!, Pixar Place character greetings (with Woody and Buzz), Mickey and Minnie on Commissary Lane and Olaf at Celebrity Spotlight. An all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast will be available at ABC Commissary from 8 to 10 a.m. Tickets, which are limited, cost $69 for adults and $59 for children ages 3-9 (plus tax). (A theme park ticket is required in addition to the Disney Early Morning Magic ticket.
