For many Walt Disney World visitors, shopping for souvenirs is an integral part of the vacation experience. Who doesn't like to have a reminder of a special trip, especially to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Recently, new merchandise has arrived in the Magic Kingdom to coordinate with the "dress rehearsal" for New Fantasyland attractions and the opening of Storybook Circus. If you have Belle and Beast, Little Mermaid or Dumbo fans at your house, start saving your money!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Beginning August 1, Disney Early Morning Magic will be offered at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Disney Early Morning Magic launched at Magic Kingdom in April of this year to give guests the opportunity to be among the first to experience theme park attractions and breakfast inside the park. At the Studios, Early Morning Magic begins at 7:45 a.m., when guests can enter the park and experience several attractions and character meet-and-greets: Star Tours - The Adventures Continue, Toy Story Mania!, Pixar Place character greetings (with Woody and Buzz), Mickey and Minnie on Commissary Lane and Olaf at Celebrity Spotlight. An all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast will be available at ABC Commissary from 8 to 10 a.m. Tickets, which are limited, cost $69 for adults and $59 for children ages 3-9 (plus tax). Book Disney Early Morning Magic for Disney's Hollywood Studios at DisneyWorld.com/EarlyMorningMagic or call 407-827-7350. (A theme park ticket is required in addition to the Disney Early Morning Magic ticket. Disney Early Morning Magic is also a separate experience than Extra Magic Hours, which are held on different dates). EDITOR'S NOTE: Disney Early Morning Magic also has been extended through September 30, 2016, for the Magic Kingdom.

The Music of Pixar Live! Disney’s Hollywood Studios

From May 26 to August 27, 2017, Theater of the Stars will be home to "The Music of Pixar Live," a celebration of the music, animation and characters of Pixar films. Featuring fun character moments and brilliant animated scenes on large video screens, a full orchestra performs selections of the stirring soundtracks from films such as "Toy Story," "Up," "Finding Nemo," "Finding Dory," "The Incredibles" and "Cars." The show will be performed three times nightly, and special dining packages are available.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios Archives American Idol Experience

American Idol Experience at Disney's Hollywood Studios will close earlier than previously announced, according to an item in today's Orlando Sentinel. The last day for the attraction, based on Fox TV's singing competition, will be August 30. In June, Disney said the curtain would drop on the theme park show sometime in January 2015. The changes are part of the continuous review of the company's entertainment options, a Disney World spokesman said Friday. Disney is not ready to announce plans for the space, he said.
