Disneyland to Test Paperless FastPasses in Tomorrowland

Starting next week, Disneyland will be testing centralized and paperless FastPass kiosks. Currently, in Disneyland, FastPass kiosks are located at individual rides, and are paper-based.

The centralized FastPass kiosks will offer FastPasses for three rides in Tomorrowland: Space Mountain, Star Tours, and Buzz Lightyear AstroBlasters.

Rather than receiving paper FastPasses from the kiosks you will receive paperless, digital FastPasses that you can view in the Disneyland app. If you do not use the Disneyland app you can photograph the FastPass kiosk screen to confirm your FastPass time.

Paper FastPasses will not be available for these three attractions during the test.  Even though FastPasses three attractions will be available from one location, you will still only be able get one FastPass at a time from the kiosk.

Disneyland readers: What do you think of this test, would you prefer paper FastPasses or are you happy to have everything on your phone? Share your thoughts in the comments!

  1. My wife and I visit each year from the UK, I don’t like having to use my phone in the park; leave the real world at the gate! To use my smartphone in the USA costs me $9 per day on top of normal data and call charges. Don’t force me to have to use it to enjoy the rides. Keep the heart and soul of a very special place, just because technology can be used doesn’t mean it must be used.
