HURRICANE DORIAN UPDATE: Orlando Airport Reverses Monday Closure

Just a few days ago, we shared the official news that the Orlando International Airport was closing at 2am on Monday, September 2nd in an abundance of caution towards Hurricane Dorian.

But recently, the official Twitter of Orlando Airport has shared an update.

 

 

As of yesterday evening, the airport has REVERSED its closure for September 2nd, and operations will be running normally. Based on updated storm forecasting, the airport will be operating as usual at this time. They advise you to check their Twitter for any updates.

Hurricane Dorian is currently a very strong Category 5 Hurricane over the Bahamas, that could still greatly impact central Florida. We will keep you posted with any updates!

UPDATE to original post: As of Tuesday afternoon, the Orlando International Airport has announced it will be closing early Wednesday morning to prepare for Hurricane Dorian. Click here for more info.

  1. And don’t forget the most important negative to after hours, they close the park 3 hours early to regular visitors.
