Baseball Hall of Famer Cal Ripken, Jr. visited Walt Disney World today to announce the launch of the Ripken Baseball Experience at Walt Disney World Resort.
Starting in 2020, The Ripken Experience at Walt Disney World will allow baseball players ages 6 to 18 to compete in high-level youth baseball tournaments at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
In addition to fun on the field, the players will be treated to an opening ceremony, have free time in Disney World’s parks, and more.
The week-long Ripken Experience at Walt Disney World Resort includes:
- 6 Game Guarantee / 9 Game Maximum
- Opening Ceremonies and Skills Competitions
- PA Announcements and Walk-Up Music
- MLB Tournament Ambassador
- Player and Coach Gifts
- Ripken Experience Rings
Ripken, a 19-time All-Star shortstop, played 21 seasons for the Baltimore Orioles. During his MLB career he was nicknamed “The Iron Man” after setting the professional baseball record for most consecutive games played — 2,632 games!
