When the 2019 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend returns to Walt Disney World October 31 – November 3, it will be celebrating its 10th anniversary!
In anticipation of this occasion, held during the annual Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, runDisney has just released the race weekend medals.
First up is the first-ever Disney Fall Feast 5K, with a finisher medal that showcases Baloo and King Louie, classic characters from “The Jungle Book.”
The Disney Wine & Dine 10K refuses to Let It Go — It features “Frozen” friends, Sven and Olaf, with some shiny, “icy” finisher bling!
The 10th Anniversary Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon medal celebrates those who complete the 13.1 miles around Walt Disney World Resort with a classic Mickey Mouse in his patriotic best.
And those who finish the 19.3-mile Disney Two Course Challenge — that is, both the Disney Wine & Dine 10K and Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon — will earn some bright yellow bling adorned with Panchito, Donald and Jose Carioca from “The Three Caballeros.”
The youngest runners are not forgotten, either. Everything will be “Hakuna Matata” for the 2019 runDisney Kids Races presented by GoGo squeeZ® Applesauce and participants will receive a medal with “The Lion King” characters Timon and Pumbaa. (By the way, spaces still remain for both the runDisney Kids Dashes and One Mile Run.)
Participants of the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon and Disney Two Course Challenge can enter the Post-Race Party at Epcot beginning at 5 p.m. After-hours fun, including special 10th Anniversary entertainment and rare characters, will begin at 10 p.m. Half Marathon and Challenge participants can invite their friends and family can also purchase a ticiket to this event on the runDisney website.
Opportunities to participate in the 2019 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend are still available by running with a participating charity group or by registering through a travel provider. Get more information here.
