Disney’s Riviera Resort, scheduled to open this December 16, will host a new New Year’s Eve event at its rooftop restaurant Topolino’s: Flavors of the Riviera.

Called “Mezzanotte at Topolino’s: An Italian Masquerade,” this special event will begin taking reservations from Disney Vacation Club members on July 16, followed by general public reservations starting July 18.

The night will feature European-inspired buffets, food stations, a la carte tapas and more. Menu options will include artisanal cheeses, imported French and Italian charcuterie, house-made breads, chilled seafood, hand-crafted pastas, European desserts, and other French and Italian specialties.

From the rooftop terrace, event guest will be able to see the fireworks spectaculars from nearby Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios  as they usher in the New Year at midnight.

This exclusive event’s dress code calls for dress pants or slacks with a collared shirt for men. For women, dresses, skirts, pants and blouses are all acceptable options. In addition, the event’s planners suggest wearing red to ring in the New Year — it’s an Italian tradition!

Check-in for the evening begins at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 31, with the event running from 8 p.m. to 12:15 a.m. The cost of $550 (inclusive of tax and gratuity) per person includes food, beverages (with alcoholic and non-alcoholic options) and musical entertainment – from a DJ to traditional Italian musicians and vocalists.

For reservations, Disney Vacation Club members should call Member Services at (800) 800-9800 starting July 16. The general public should call 407-WDW-DINE for reservations on July 18.
