Over the past few weeks, in between Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge news, Disney has made announcements about Christmas and holiday happenings in all four Disney World parks and Disney Springs. We’ve collected all the updates for you here to ease your holiday travel planning.

Christmas and Holiday Events in the Magic Kingdom
The Magic Kingdom will be home to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party for 23 nights, starting on November 8. And, this year the party will feature a brand new fireworks show, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks. Learn more about the new fireworks show here.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party takes place 7 p.m. – midnight on the following nights:
- November: 8, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 22 and 24
- December: 1, 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20 and 22

A Frozen Holiday Wish stage show is returning for the season as well. During this show Queen Elsa will magically transform Cinderella Castle with glistening ice.
Christmas and Holiday Events in Epcot
The first few celebrity narrators have been announced for the popular Candlelight Processional in Epcot. In addition, Candlelight Processional Dining Package information has been released including pricing. The Dining Package is the only way to guarantee seating at the Candlelight Processional. Dining packages go on sale July 3, 2019. See the narrators announced so far, and learn more about the Candlelight Processional Dining Packages here.
Epcot will be home to the Epcot Festival of the Holidays with Holiday Kitchens (food booths) dotted around World Showcase serving holiday favorites and treats. Epcot Festival of the Holidays runs November 29, 2019, through December 30, 2019.
The World Showcase will be decorated, special entertainment will be on hand, themed merchandise will be offered, and costumed storytellers from the 11 World Showcase nations will be sharing holiday tales. Be sure to look for Santa and Mrs. Claus in the American Adventure pavilion.
Chip & Dale’s Christmas Tree Spree Scavenger Hunt returns for the kids, and kids at heart. Search World Showcase locations looking for the two troublesome chipmunks and their ornaments. Completed maps are returned for a special festive surprise, courtesy of the chipmunk duo.
Christmas and Holiday Events in Hollywood Studios
In Hollywood Studios you can enjoy the return of “snow” and the Sunset Seasons Greetings show on Sunset Boulevard and “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” at the Chinese Theatre. But that isn’t all…
You’ll be able to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge this holiday season as well! Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens in Hollywood Studios on August 29.
Lastly, as a curtain-closer, Olaf will be delivering a special holiday finale in For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along along with other experiences.
Exact dates for the return of the Flurry of Fun activities, Sunset Seasons Greetings, and “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” have not been announced. We will keep you posted on future announcements and dates.
Christmas and Holiday Events in the Animal Kingdom
For the first time ever in Animal Kingdom there will be new holiday entertainment and holiday decor in every land in the park. Beginning November 8, 2019, you’ll find yourself in a celebration of winter in Discovery Island. During the day, stylized, life-sized animal puppets mingle with villagers who make the island their home. In the evenings, rooftop luminaries in animal shapes and bird lanterns throughout Discovery Island will bring a holiday glow to the village. Learn more about the new holiday decor and events here!
As the sun sets, the Tree of Life will awaken with a series of wintry tales emerging from within, backed by a holiday musical score. Between “awakening moments”, the Tree of Life will shimmer and sparkle throughout the night.

Christmas and Holiday Events in Disney Springs
The holidays will kick off in Disney Springs on November 8 and run through January 5, 2020. You’ll find live entertainments such as toy soldier stilt-walkers, carolers, and living statues around the entertainment and shopping complex in addition to the return of the Christmas Tree Trail. At Santa’s Chalet, Santa Claus welcomes guests. But, from December 25 to 31, Santa Goofy takes over after Santa returns to the North Pole.
Stitch’s Holiday Gift Hunt makes a return this year. Discover where the mischievous Experiment 626 is hiding around Disney Springs this holiday season!
