Today new signage blasted off in Tomorrowland at Disneyland.
This new Pizza Planet sign leads us to believe that the once “temporary” location that appeared for Pixar Fest last year is here to stay.
The new Pizza Planet logo has been painted over the Moonliner Rocket, which has been in the park for years. It feels like a little piece of Disney history is gone forever.
The location, which housed Redd Rocket’s Pizza Port has been undergoing renovations for a while, as many speculated the location was being permanently themed as Alien Pizza Planet. And with the new Pizza Planet sign, we think that the theming created for Pixar Fest is here to stay. So, it now seems that Redd Rockett’s Pizza Port is a dining location of the past.
This has happened with other “temporary” locations like Red Rose Taverne in Fantasyland. This Beauty and the Beast-themed spot took over Pinocchio’s Village Haus in order to celebrate the live-action Beauty and the Beast film — but it never left.
Alien Pizza Planet is set to reopen at Disneyland tomorrow. The operating hours are from 10:30 a.m. – 10 p.m.
