The Disney Skyliner gondolas have been unwrapped! We enjoyed watching these go by and looking for our favorite characters. There is a wide assortment of classic and recent movie characters, as well as classic attractions represented on the colorful gondolas.
It’s going to be fun to see these in the sky between Epcot and Hollywood Studios as well as the Art of Animation, Pop Century, Caribbean Beach, and Riviera Resorts.
Let’s take a look — there’s Beauty and the Beast and Chip and Dale going by.
Next up is the gang from Coco along with Donald’s nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie.
Of course, Frozen is represented with Elsa, Anna, Olaf, and a bunch of Snowgies having fun.
The Guardians of the Galaxy are getting ready for their new attraction to open in Epcot in 2021.
It looks like the hitchhiking ghosts from Haunted Mansion finally found a ride!
Moana and Nemo look at home on their gondolas.
Peter Pan — you can fly — at least in a gondola!
The puppy from Pirates of the Caribbean looks like he is ready to open that door after all of these years.
Ralph has representation from both of his movies, Wreck it Ralph and Ralph Breaks the Internet.
Snow White and the Dwarfs look like they are enjoying the view — well, not Grumpy, obviously.
The gang is all here from Andy’s backyard and Toy Story Land.
Tigger is exploring the gondola. We even saw a Zootopia gondola.
We even got a little Ratatouille in action. Do you see Colette?
Last up — we saw not one, but two Star Wars gondola designs. Check out those porgs.
The Skyliner system will be in testing mode for several months before opening this fall. Learn more and take a peek inside a gondola here.
Now that the gondolas are unwrapped what do you think of this new transportation option? Let us know in the comments!

Funny. They don’t look mean, scary, hot and stinky as so many people said they would be. I wonder if anyone here will post an apology for all of the ugly things they said about them?
I think parts of the SkyLiner will be open well before fall. My guess is that Disney wants to have the Studios and CBR/Pop/AoA lines up and running and having the most serious kinks worked out before Star Wars Galaxy Edge opens. That covers 3/4 of the Resorts the system will serve to move the crowds in and out of DHS.
