5 Big Disney Announcements Many of Us Missed

Disney has some made some HUGE announcements in the last few months. These often include information on Galaxy’s Edge or the NEW Guardians of the Galaxy attraction. This has led a few of us to forget about the many other new and exciting Disney experiences that are coming to the Disney. Most of which will be completed  by 2021.

And honestly… there are tons of new and exciting experiences coming to the parks that we should be getting pumped about!

Wonderful World of Animation Projection Show

1. Two New Nighttime Shows

There are TWO new nighttime shows coming to Disney World very soon! One is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and another is coming to Epcot.

Wonderful World of Animation, an all-new cinematic nighttime experience is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in May 2019. This is so stinking soon y’all! The show will take place in front of the Chinese Theater.  And it will be a tribute to animation.

The show will feature films like The Incredibles, Coco, and Sleeping Beauty.
It will focus on themes like magic, family, adventure, romance, and friendship. How sweet! The show will also begin and end with our favorite Mickey Mouse! Doesn’t it sound like the perfect blend of classic and new? We can’t wait to see what all this show has in store!

Also, an all-new nighttime spectacular is coming to Epcot. This show will replace Epcot’s current nighttime show, IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth is set to run through the end of summer 2019. The new show is set to open in 2020. The show will celebrate how Disney music inspires people all over the world. It will also feature large floating set pieces, custom built LED panels, choreographed fountains, as well as pyrotechnics and lasers.

Before the new show officially debuts, a limited time experience called ” Epcot Forever” will be presented starting in fall 2019. This show will feature fireworks, music, lighting, lasers, and special effect kites.

5. Space-Themed Restaurant at Epcot

This restaurant will be built in a newly developed area located between Mission: SPACE and Test Track. At this restaurant guests will travel into space to dine within the stars. The as-yet unnamed restaurant will be operated by the Patina Restaurant Group, which operates several other restaurants at Walt Disney World including Tutto Italia and Via Napoli at Epcot and Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs. We can’t wait to see what will be served and just how out of this world this experience will be!

  1. #6 – A recent study conducted by the National Center for Debt Control confirms that Disney Debt now exceeds student loan debt. NCDC has begun lobbying Congress for a government bailout for all of the poor families who decimated their life savings and maxed out their credit cards chasing the elusive “pixie dust”.

  2. If Disney can get the rights they could name the new Restaurant “The Restaurant at the End of the Universe”.

    1. LOL, I love it! And if you have listened to or read the book where they were at the restaurant, then if Disney can get the addition rights, they could even tie into the episode of Doctor Who where they end up at the end of the Universe.
