Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is undergoing a major expansion that includes the addition of a 15-story tower. Today, Disney released a few more details, including some renderings of the interior. Come along with us to take a peek!
When it opens, the new tower is set to be the entry point for the entire resort. It’ll have a two-story lobby and 545 guest rooms. The resort’s existing 1,800 rooms are also being fully updated.
More exciting news: along with the updates and expansion, the resort is also getting two new restaurants! One will be a themed dining experience located on the top floor of the tower, and the other will be Villa del Lago, nestled at the center of Lago Dorado, the resort’s 14-acre centerpiece lake. These go along with the renamed counter service location, El Mercado de Coronado, which we reported on a few days ago.
The expansion is set to open summer 2019.
What do you think — has the reimagined Coronado Springs Resort just moved to the top of your list?

We love Coronado and stay there often. Business class was always a favorite for our family(Moderate resort version of club level)… I am waiting with excitment for the tower and its “club” level options.
Beautiful!
