Stop by Rose and Crown for a Spot of Tea in the Morning

Rose and Crown in United Kingdom Pavilion in Epcot

The Rose and Crown Dining Room in Epcot’s United Kingdom pavilion has begun serving a morning “tea experience” to start the day off.

During the program, which is offered Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 9:45 a.m., you will taste teas and learn the difference between various blends as a Twinings-trained cast member takes you through the history of the brand and its flavors.

Along the way, you’ll also learn the secret to making the perfect cup of tea.

Reservations are strongly suggested for this limited-capacity event, and can be booked online at disneyworld.com, by visiting Guest Relations, or by calling (407) WDW-DINE.

Cost is $30 per person, which includes the tasting, sandwiches and scones.

Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m. for the 9:45 start time.

  1. We did this in January – what a great experience! I am not a hot tea drinker but I did enjoy trying the different varieties – who knew ?? The sandwiches and scones were wonderful and the cast members were very knowledgeable and informative about the custom of having “tea”. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to do something different yet reasonably priced. I plan to do again !

  2. My husband and adult son and myself did this in January. This was the best money spent at Disneyworld and we will do it again. We were seated with other guests. You have a four (4) glass flight with different tea bags on the outside. the staff comes out, introduces themselves and explains all about Twinings and themselves. They are a show within themselves. They walk you through the tea experience, when to pour the water, how long to brew the tea, you have a timer at your table for the different teas. They bring you fresh hot water in a pot, you have a lovely name placard to take home.

The staff interacts during the entire time. as you are served the food, the chef comes out and explains what you are eating. The whole time the staff is walking around, talking, asking questions. You have tea sandwiches and scones and it is just lovely. Oh and they also talk about how to say the word ‘scone’, big discussion on that, it was great.

I would truly recommend this if you have the time, again, the best value at any park. we truly enjoyed this early morning tea tasting.

    1. I’m looking forward to this experience in December. How long did it last? Is it at your own pace or does it have a set end time?

  3. This looks interesting to me. I do not know anything about teas. The price seems very reasonable to me as well. Will definitely check it out in March.
