I was very fortunate to be able to attend the Christening of the Disney Dream at Port Canaveral, January 26, 2011.
It was a beautiful day with so much excitement in the air. The Disney Characters shared the stage with Bob Iger and the ship’s Godmother, Jennifer Hudson!
As the ship rolled in, the band played, Cast Members on the Dream were cheering and waving flags, the fireworks went off, and everyone was cheering!

Hey Deb! That must have been fabulous! I would love to see one of the next two ships christened! I think it may have been a different day tho. 1/26 was the inaugural cruise day….my birthday….and it was pouring!! Thinking it was earlier in January?
