UPDATE: I seemed to have caused a stir with this post title. First, I only write about and share photography from Disney themeparks in this space. I do not report news from the Disney Company. Second, the Jungle Cruise Skippers are NOT going away. The title comes from my boat waving goodbye to the skipper you see in the photo. I think people saw the title and JUMPED to conclusions. So, I have changed the title which was, “Goodbye Jungle Cruise Skipper at the Magic Kingdom”.

Skippers of the Jungle Cruise in either the Magic Kingdom or Disneyland have one wry sense of humor. They have to pilot all of us guests around and around the great rivers of the world and be funny each and every time. My Mickey Mouse Ears hat off to them all.

Now, let’s everyone turn around and wave good-bye to those people on the dock we’ve left behind. (In low voice) Come on folks… pretend like you’re having a good time. – Jungle Cruise Skipper

A fun Fisheyeed photo for the Disney Pic of the Week about the Jungle Cruise.

  1. We LOVE the Jungle Cruise skippers! As a kid I loved the ride because of the “adventure” and the animals. The first time I went back as an adult I thought, “Huh. Why would I ride it again? I already know what happens. We were cracking up so much! It is/was such a delight to hear them and the funny jokes they say, that we will ride again and again sometimes.
