On Thursday, May 1, 2014, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will mark its 25th anniversary.
— At 10 a.m., Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse along with Disney’s Hollywood Studios Vice President Dan Cockerell will honor some of the park’s 25-year cast members during a short rededication ceremony.
— At 7 p.m., a special motorcade — “Stars of the Studios” — will make its way down Hollywood Blvd. Many of the famous characters featured throughout the park will be on hand, including Mickey and Minnie, Captain Jack Sparrow, Darth Vader, Doc McStuffins, Wreck-It Ralph, Vanellope, Sofia the First and more.
— Following the motorcade, the area in front of the park’s Sorcerer Hat Stage will host a dance party. A fireworks show will end the day at 9:30 p.m., paying tribute to 25 years of show business stories that have been told throughout the park.
— 25th anniversary commemorative merchandise will be sold (while supplies last). There will also be a 25th Anniversary Chocolate Nutella Cupcake for sale.
Special events and entertainment for the celebration are subject to change, and are included in regular park admission to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
TIP: If you’re planning to visit the park by car on May 1, plan on entering via the main toll plaza off World Drive.
