Contributing photographer Jason of disneygeek.com sends us these photos from his trip to the parks on Friday, January 3, 2014.
A check in on Starbucks in Downtown Disney. It is moving along. The signs say a winter opening, no idea what that translates into.
The construction I saw last visit by La Brea Bakery/World of Disney was a new sunglass icon kiosk.
My first stop today, DCA. Passed by the Red Car on Buena Vista Street.
Condor Flats had a fair amount of guests walking around this afternoon.
Wow! The line was out the door for Taste Pilots (it was about 1pm).
Noticed the Planes merchandise that was outside is now gone.
But the Planes crew is still on the billboard.
Paradise Gardens is celebrating Dia De Reyes (Three Kings Day) this weekend in addition to Vivia Navidad! Jeanine has a posting on this event so I am going to only include a couple pictures and leave the description and detail for her.
Caught the 1:30 Viva Navidad! Street Party
A video clip from the finale.
Made another pass through the area. Goofy was out for pictures.
Mariachi Espectacular was performing on the Bandstand.
A video clip of Mariachi Espectacular
I walked around the Pier then. Buzz was out for photos.
The Pier walkway looked really crowded thanks to the Screamin’ overflow queue taking up the right hand side. It was a 55 minute wait.
The Christmas tree inside Ariel’s Grotto. The lighting was a challenge.
Walked through Cars Land. Only 165 minutes wait for the Radiator Springs Racers.
Passed by Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree which only had a 20 minute wait.
Five and Dime performing in Carthay Circle. Notice Dime has a new dress, she has had it for several weeks now but this is my first time catching them in a while.
A Dickens Yuletide Band performing as I entered Disneyland this afternoon.
Sleeping Beauty Castle
Benches, ropes, and arrows to help with crowd flow in Frontierland.
The canoes were open this afternoon
Some of the construction wall for Big Thunder has been removed near the smoking area. Now you can see some of the mountain and landscaping.
The Jingle Jangle Jamboree was not too crowded this afternoon.
Instead Santa was walking around in his less formal gear.
I came to watch Billy Hill and the Holiday Hillbillies one last time. They end their Disneyland run on Monday the 6th. I am going to miss them.
A video of their big sing a long featuring the Country Bears to close the set.
A new churro cart in Fantasyland. There was a line so I could not get a good picture.. will try again next visit.
Olaf entertaining guests in line, the wait for the Frozen Royal Reception was posted at 120 minutes.
Small World Holiday had a posted wait of 60 minutes
In Toontown Roger Rabbit was over an hour wait.
A look at the crowd in Toontown.
The Finding Nemo subs go down for renovation next week for most of 2014. Or if some internet rumors are to be believed maybe forever?
The Flower Market on Center Street has been reduced to just this archway.
Guessing this was done to ease traffic flow in and out of the locker area and for an overflow queue for Starbucks. Curious if the full display will return next week when the crowds leave.
The Dapper Dans of Disneyland performing on Main Street.
A couple pictures from the lights coming on in Cars Land.
Here is a video of the lighting from a previous trip.
Back to Buena Vista Street
Santa has left Elias & Co and his meet and greet area is gone.
Returned to Disneyland for A Christmas Fantasy Parade.
A video clip of the Winter Wonderland segment featuring cross country skiers this year.

Stopped by the Winter Village in Downtown Disney
Back to Disneyland for the 7:30 Sleeping Beauty Winter Castle Wintertime Enchantment Moment.
Next up Small World and its quarter hour projection show.
Here is a video from a previous trip of the show if you missed it.
Someone asked me what happens with Olaf at night when the Frozen Royal Reception was closed. They actually have a sleep sequence for him. No lighting really, just snoring and some movement.
A video clip of Olaf sleeping.
Back to DCA for the 8:45pm World of Color Winter Dreams. Watched from a Standby Area. A couple random pictures from the show.
Then it was back to Disneyland to close out my evening with Believe in Holiday Magic.
