A Few Hidden Mickeys at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Check out this new image at the Studios! Finally, a Hidden Mickey at that most fascinating place to browse: Sid Cahuenga’s Antiques and Curios Store just inside the park entrance. A statue of a Dalmatian is on the porch to the left of the entrance doors to the store. A black classic Mickey spot is on its left rear thigh. I hope this image stays in place for a while! (Thanks to Alena White).

Another new image is in a side display window of the Villains in Vogue shop on Sunset Boulevard. Black upside-down classic Mickeys (decorative and not really hidden) are on the backdrop of the Jack Skellington display. By now we know that display window images sometimes don’t last! (Thanks to Alena White.)

Hidden Mickeys are lost from time to time. The great Hidden Images in the mural to the right just inside the entrance to the American Film Institute display rooms have disappeared. The mural is gone, with new movie posters in its place. You walk through these display rooms after you exit the Studio Backlot Tour trams.

What do you think about this image? Look up at the Dalmatian (yes, more Dalmatian spots!) perched on a television high up along a wall inside the Cinema Storage shop at the corner of Hollywood and Sunset Boulevards. Three spots on its left shoulder resemble an upside-down classic Mickey. Do you think this qualifies as a Hidden Mickey? In addition, I must have Oswald the Lucky Rabbit on my mind. Do you think the black marks on the dog’s left ear resemble Oswald’s ears? (Thanks to Robert Wescovich and Alena White.)

  1. My fav hidden mickey find was on the Great Movie Ride. When u stop for gangster routine turn and look at top of wall. It is a wondow lit up with Mickey in it. My kids and all the disney guest around me were impressed and excited. One gentlemen had ridden 25 times and never noticed. This trip we really focused in all the hidden mickeys. Makes for lots of fun.
