Young lion leaving Virginia Zoo in Norfolk for Florida

A young, male African lion will be leaving the Virginia Zoo and heading to Orlando, Fla., to become part of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Dakari is the last of his siblings to move to a new home. His brothers went to the Pittsburgh Zoo and his sister went to the Knoxville Zoo, a news release from the zoo in Norfolk said. The four cubs were born at the Norfolk zoo on May 2, 2009, to father Mramba and mother Zola.

  1. I love emery I hope he has a nice life in Disney animal kingdom see him on tv on Disney+ the secrets of Disney animal kingdom. I live near the VA zoo I’m ten years old and I love animal I have seen him when he was a baby his mom sola past away a few months ago.
