How Many Balloons…

Photographic Innoventions by Scott Thomas

The last time we talked I was talking about a blurred balloon. That lead me to ask the question of how many balloons are sold at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. I asked the All Ears team, they didn’t know. I asked Lou Mongello, author of Walt Disney World Trivia Books, Volumes One and Two, and he didn’t know. I even asked Thomas Smith who runs The Disney Parks Blog who thought he had seen the numbers but never got back to me.

Maybe I should ask one of the Balloon vendors on Main Street USA.

How many balloons are sold in the Magic Kingdom? Maybe she knows.

I walked over to her after she was done selling the young guest his balloon and asked. She looked through the sea of balloon strings, I waited hopefully for an answer and she told she didn’t know either.

  1. I contacted WDW, this was their response…..

    Dear Ms. Betty,

Thank you for contacting us at the Walt Disney World® Resort.

I appreciate your interest in the operations of the Magic Kingdom Park. I know the balloons in our theme parks are very popular amongst our Guests who visit us each year. While I wish I could provide you with the information requested, regretfully, we do not have data regarding
the number of balloons that are purchased by guests each year. I appreciate your understanding.

Ms.Betty, thank you again for contacting us.

    Sincerely,

Scott replies: Considering how careful Disney is with everything else this does surprise me. Thank you for asking, Betty! I guess the world will never know. 🙂
