Disney Pic of the Week – American Adventure

Light Meter by Lisa K. Berton

Welcome…to…America! Epcot’s American Adventure pavillion sure as heck makes you feel as though you’re in the United States, doesn’t it? It’s all of the themeing and that extra mile they went to give a large chunk of the Guests accents from the South, the West, the East and of course the Snowbirds. Oops, the North!

Here you’ll find not 1, not 2, but 3 forms of entertainment. There’s the aptly named American Adventure which highlights important moments in history as explained by animatronic figures including Benny Franklin (that’s Benjamin to you) and Mark Twain. Voices of Liberty is an a capella group that performs inside the building. You can also enjoy The Spirit of America Fife and Drum Corps who perform outdoors in Colonial attire. Wait, I forgot something. The America Gardens Theater is another place you can be entertained but only for special events like the Candlelight Processional, Eat to the Beat Concerts, and the Flower Power Concerts.

Enough chatter, let’s get to my photo. Na na na na naaaaaaaaa.

I call it, One if by Land, Two if by Sea, and Three if by Fire Escape Ladder.

Come on back on Thursday and Saturday to learn more about this great country of ours from Barrie and Scotty (that’s Scott to you).

  1. The Voices of Liberty are wonderful. If we just catch the tail end of their performance, we do not go into the American Adventure. We wait for their next performance. Their Christmas songs were just lovely this year.
