Run for Your Life in the Tiki, Tiki, Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room

Light Meter by Lisa K. Berton

I enjoy a good challenge, photographically speaking. Lighting is key as any photog knows so when you are faced with low light and action you have to think fast and set the proper settings on your camera. Another factor that’s extremely important with photojournalism, weddings, concerts, etc…is to anticipate the action. I waited for Indy to move slowly or stop moving because I was shooting at a not-so-fast yet not-so-slow rate of 1/80 and the aperature opened up as much as it can at f4.5 and an ISO of 1000 which sadly, is noisier than 1000 ISO film is grainy.

Since the image has specs of red and green from the noise and I thought it made the shot look dirty, I cleaned it up and removed all color, thus making it a black and white photograph. Personally, I think it looks cool and something I can imagine framed up on Indy’s wall at home.
